A participatory sound 'happening' at Van Gogh House, exploring the inter-relationship between performer, audience, and space.

An open-to-all participatory sound ‘happening’ at Van Gogh House, which explores the inter-relationship between performer, audience and space. This event will challenge who gets to make sounds - the performer or the audience?

From performance art to sound art, visitors are invited to watch, listen and take part. Visitors are invited to examine facets of everyday life and the items we surround ourselves with - from breathing, laughing, singing to the very simple act of making and sharing a cup of tea, as humans have done the world over for centuries. They are asked to question these simple acts; to pause, appreciate the simple things and consider how these can enrich our lives by becoming acts of creation.
