London to Birmingham, Apsley Station and the Croxley Paper Mill internal rail system; a talk by Michael Stanyon.
This is a repeat delivery of the talk first presented in September. Very much back by popular demand!
This is the fascinating tale of the arrival of the railways in West Hertfordshire. The presentation covers not only the railways but the key persons involved and the lasting reminders still t be seen in the vicinity. Mike Stanyon at his finest!
Included in the ticket price of £18, is a fish and chip supper, plus tea and coffee.
All of our talks are held in The Tudor Room at Aspley Mill Cottage, Stationer's Place, Apsley, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 9RL. This building is opposite Apsley Station. Parking is available. Please be aware that there is one staircase up to The Tudor Room. There is no lift at this site.
