As you explore the stunning State Rooms with one of our knowledgeable tour guides, you will discover how the Bessborough’s celebrated Christmas and learn about the Queen Mother’s visit to Stansted Park in December 1939. You will then move downstairs to discover the extensive Servants Quarters below and what life was like for the servants during the festive season!
This is your opportunity to enjoy a true ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’ experience with your family and friends this Christmas.

Opening times
Stansted House is open from Easter Sunday until the end of September each year. Our opening times are Sunday-Tuesday, 1pm-5pm with last admission to the House at 4pm.
Stansted House is open for pre-booked Guided Group Visits throughout the year.
Please check our website before you travel as the House is sporadically closed for private functions during the season.
