Enjoy an after-hours ceramics workshop with artist Martha Todd, inspired by the Foundling Museum’s token collection.
Relax with a glass of wine and enjoy making personalised ceramic tiles and unique tokens under the guidance of artist Martha Todd.
Inspired by the intricate designs found in the Museum’s token collection and our exhibition Self-Made: Reshaping Identities, you will learn techniques to create handmade ceramic pieces and have the opportunity to engrave designs personal to you. This intimate workshop will begin with an after-hours tour of the Museum’s 18th-century tokens collection and their touching history.
Martha Todd is a London-based ceramic artist who runs her own studio in North London. She completed a BA from the Royal College of Art in 2010 and is currently completing a PhD by practice at the University of the Creative Arts. Martha runs regular workshops at her studio – Studio1Ceramics – at the College Arts building in Haringey and has delivered workshops in museums around London since 2016.
