Brighten up your next culture trip with a visit to one of these museums or art galleries.

It’s officially autumn – the trees are putting on a spectacular show of colour, and there’s woodsmoke in the air. That said, the days are getting colder, darker and wetter… And although we’re taking comfort in warming drinks and Lenny Kravitz-style scarves, this time of year can be a little tough on the spirits.

The remedy? Make up for the lessening daylight hours by filling your evenings and weekends with a good old culture trip. (Don't believe us? There's even research to show spending time with art is good for our wellbeing.) It’s time to head for inspiring exhibitions and interactive exhibits, or boost your mood by stumbling across extraordinary artworks dotted across the countryside.

Whether you're into immersive art experiences, interactive exhibitions or experiencing culture in the great outdoors, we've selected eight museums and art galleries across the UK that can give you that feel-good experience. Plus, you'll get great discounts at every venue with a National Art Pass.
