Visit the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds to experience, study and enjoy sculpture from around the world.
Established in 1993, the institute serves as a vital platform for promoting sculpture and fostering a deeper understanding of this artistic medium. Through its diverse exhibitions, extensive resources, and engaging public programs, the institute continues to inspire and educate visitors. The institute also curates the Leeds Museums and Galleries sculpture collection which is on display in Leeds Art Gallery (located next door to the Henry Moore Institute).
Sculpting minds
The institute is part of the Henry Moore Foundation, set up by Moore in 1977 to give people access to learning about sculpture. Honouring Moore's aims and legacy, the institute houses a gallery, Research Library and the Leeds Museums & Galleries’ Archive of Sculptors’ Papers. Additionally it hosts free sculpture exhibitions, research events looking at new thinking on sculpture, and activities for young people, families, community groups and schools.
