People’s History Museum (PHM) in Manchester is the national museum of democracy, telling the story of its development and discussing its future in Britain.
As a leading activist museum, PHM provides opportunities for all people to learn about, be inspired by, and get involved in ideas worth fighting for; ideas such as equality, social justice, co-operation, and a fair world for all.
Through an eclectic and colourful mix of historic and contemporary collections, featuring banners, badges, posters, photography and more, the museum celebrates the radical history of people coming together to demand change, collaborating with communities to create authentic and challenging content for today.
Offering an engaging programme of exhibitions and events, the museum is Family Friendly throughout, inspiring the next generation to be active citizens, fighting for a fairer future.
