What to see

At the Royal Armouries Museum thousands of objects are exhibited over five floors of permanent galleries; War, Tournament, African andAsian, Self Defence and Hall of Steel. Treasures include Henry VIII's armours, jewel-encrusted presentation swords, exquisite pieces from India such as the magnificent elephant armour, and ancient gift armours from the Japanese shoguns.

Fun for all ages

Children and adults alike can participate in hands-on activities that bring history to life, such as trying on armour, handling replica weapons in the crossbow challenge, and exploring interactive displays. The museum also hosts regular events, including workshops, lectures, and demonstrations including daily combats. Adults and families with older children might like to try the museum’s innovative escape room experience.
