The Munnings Art Museum

The Munnings Art Museum in Colchester is devoted to East Anglian artist and former President of the Royal Academy, Sir Alfred Munnings.
Set in the artist’s former home and studio, the museum holds a comprehensive collection of Munnings’ work. Widely known for his paintings of horses and of horse-racing, he also produced idyllic rural scenes where people worked the land with horses.
Additionally the museum displays a range of original furniture and personal items belonging to Munnings and his wife Violet.
In addition to half price admission, National Art Pass holders can also take advantage of discounted tours.
