Art Funded by you

Floating

Charlotte Hodes, 2006

© The artist/ Eagle Gallery, London

Hodes went to Brighton College of Art and started to exhibit her innovative use of digital print design on ceramics in 1999. Floating is a very successful example of HodesÂ’ recent deconstruction of aspects of 18th century art (specifically Sevres porcelain and the paintings of Lancret and Watteau) and her entirely fresh interpretation of the female figure on a decorated pot for a modern audience.
