Art Funded by you

Portfolio of five photographs

Wolfgang Tillmans, 2002–2006

The titles of the five works in the folio are: 1) Tree Filling Window, 2002; 2) Wolfsnap, 2002; 3) Untitled (Jam), 2003; 4) Tomatoes, 2003; and 5) Untitled (Abstract), 2006. They are representative of Tillmans' oevure, which combines the traditional genres of portraiture, still life, landscape and abstract compositions with a raw, snap-shot style of photography often exhibited in distinctive wall montages. The abstract work is his most recent experimentation with 'camera-less' pictures, made by the direct manipulation of light on photo-sensitive paper.
