Silver Monteith Bowl
James Cockburn, 1697–1698

Bowl used to hold feet of drinking-glasses cooling in water in the bowl, has unusual scallop-shell decoration. Later Monteiths used as punch bowls. Engraved with a coat of arms, probably Johnstone of Westerhall, early 18th century.
