Tall Flattened Pot with Lines & Lustre Pot with Extended Rim & Leaning Lustre Bottle
Joanna Constantinidis, 1976–1991

A collection of three works chosen at a retrospective exhibition to illustrate her consistent concerns over three decades. 1) Flattened pot, 1976, has textured lines, a narrow opening and gravity-defying height; 2) Lustre pot with extended rim, 1984, also defies gravity with its tapering wide lid; 3) Leaning lustre bottle, 1990-91, appears to undulate mysteriously around a tilted axis.
