Roy Turner Durrant was born in Lavenham, Suffolk, and trained at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts. His abstract paintings and drawings are associated with the Neo- Romantic tradition in British art. Southampton City Art Gallery holds Durrant’s watercolour May Night in the Dingle, and Untitled (Black and Cream Abstract) now joins it there.
