Help save Joshua Reynolds’ Portrait of Omai - Terms and conditions
Your donation will be processed and administered by the National Art Collections Fund, operating as the Art Fund, a charity registered in England and Wales (209174) and Scotland (SC038331).
Donations made in response to the 2022 Winter Art Quarterly and through our website from 1 December 2022 until 11 April 2023 will be used towards helping the National Portrait Gallery acquire Joshua Reynolds’ Portrait of Omai. They will be restricted to this use only unless the fundraising campaign is unsuccessful, please see clause 5.
By making a donation – online at artfund.org/omai, by post using the form enclosed with the 2022 Winter Art Quarterly, or by telephone in response to the letter – you confirm that you agree to these terms and conditions.
You must not use borrowed, stolen, or forged payment methods to make your donation. Should you do so, you agree to accept full responsibility for such action and to indemnify the Art Fund in respect of all actions, claims, damages, liability, fees, costs and expenses whatsoever that arise as a result of your actions.
In the event that the fundraising campaign to acquire this portrait is unsuccessful, your donation will be used by Art Fund to enable the National Portrait Gallery to acquire other works of art in the near future. Your donation will only be returned to you if you have indicated to us when you submitted your donation that you would prefer the Art Fund to return your donation in these circumstances.
If you have contributed a gift of £1,000 and above your name will be acknowledged at the National Portrait Gallery during the gallery’s reopening year from Summer 2023. Art Fund will contact you once the campaign has ended to confirm acknowledgment details, or whether you would prefer to remain anonymous.
Any funds recovered through Gift Aid will be applied to the cause.
Donations of £10,000 or more cannot be processed online. Please contact Scarlett Millar in Art Fund’s Development team on development@artfund.org or call 020 7225 4843.
