CASE STUDY

Art Tickets has been revolutionary for a small organisation like ours

Jenny Hand, Director, The Munnings Art Museum

Our opening hours are limited, and many of our event attendees are not local to the area so cannot buy advance tickets in person. As a smaller museum staffed largely by volunteers, we were desperately trying to implement online ticketing for our events, recognising that selling tickets online is hugely important – if not essential.

It enables us to connect with a much wider audience online; it has also reduced our behind-the-scenes administration by about 80%. Invaluable.

POLICY & RESEARCH

Admissions pricing policy in museums

In partnership with Arts Council England, Museums Galleries Scotland, the Welsh Government, the National Museum Directors’ Council, and Art Fund, the Association of Independent Museums (AIM) commissioned DC Research Ltd and Durnin Research Ltd to explore current admissions pricing policies in museums and their impact.

The in-depth research report provides a detailed overview of current charging approaches, useful benchmarking data and a range of case studies. There is also an accompanying Success Guide which condenses crucial findings and is designed to help inform you in the process of reviewing their pricing strategies.
