This fascinating record of the museumÂ’s Aston Webb wing depicts the Chancel Chapel from the Church of Santa Chiara, Florence, in situ in the newly created galleries.
Salisbury began his career working in stained glass, but quickly gained a reputation as a portrait painter following a Royal Academy scholarship. He painted no less than five British prime ministers, five US presidents, and many other key political figures, including Mussolini.
