Cabinet from Pownall hall designed by A H Mackmurdo and the Century Guild and made by E Goodall and Co of Manchester.
The guild was part of the Arts and Crafts Movement and was active in the 1880's. The cabinet is freely modelled on a Renaissance piece.

Purchased from the Liverpool exhibition of 1886 by Henry Boddington of Pownall Hall, Wilmslow.
