The oil lamp is the largest cameo incrusted item to come from the Holyrood Glassworks and is formed of three separate, clear, cut-glass elements.
The funnel is very elaborately cut; the column encloses two cameo incrustations, one of William Shakespeare (signed by the medallist William Hackett) and the other of Sir Walter Scott.
