Two lengths of silk brocade, French, 18th century.
Italian linen valance with designs worked in coloured silks, 17th century. Panel and curtain of floral embroidery, Indian, 18th century, a silk square with a floral pattern, Japanese, 19th century. Part of four gifts and two bequests to twenty-three museums by Jean and Rachel Alexander through the Art Fund between 1921 and 1973.
