The title of the panel is taken from a sonnet by Dante Gabriel Rossetti and links the work directly to the willow theme of the Willow Tea Room's symbolism.

Commissioned by Miss Kate Cranston for the Salon de Luxe, Willow Tea Rooms 1903; on loan to Glasgow Museums whilst building renovated 1983.
