This standing figure is of a Hindu goddess from the Mekong delta region of southern Vietnam.
Her two arms, rather than four, and the distinctive looped braided hair is associated with the goddess Siva. She may be a representation of Uma, one of Siva's consorts.

Dr. Louis Malleret acquired in Vietnam, shipped to France circa mid-1950s; private collection.
