Of particular interest are the Montgomeryshire oak dresser displaying typical regional features such as the open pot-board with ogee arches and the long-case clock by Samuel Roberts in an oak case decorated with an inlaid star motif to the door and cross-banded embellishments to the hood.

Collection formed in 1880s by W Scott Owen of Defrigwifed mansion, Tregynon, Powys; by descent. 17 items have been on loand to the Museum of Welsh Life since 1954.
