Hear all about the power of water in literature from authors of water-themed novels, Sophie Mackintosh and Kiran Millwood Hargrave.

Soothing and sinister, healing and hindering, mystical, terrible and majestic: water has taken many forms in literature. From swashbuckling adventures on the high seas to eerie examinations of what lies beneath, writers and readers alike have long been drawn to it.

Join us as authors Sophie Mackintosh and Kiran Millwood Hargrave talk to Zosha Nash about their respective novels The Water Cure and The Mercies, explore the power of water in literature, how it can both comfort and confine.
