Two-dimensional creative paper quilling for beginners with paper and textiles artist, Stephanie Smart.

Learn the basics of paper quilling in this introductory class. Stephanie will show you how to produce a range of shapes by coiling thin strips of paper which you will then connect together to produce a beautiful two-dimensional snowflake design. No previous experience needed. All tools and materials supplied.

Stephanie is a paper and textiles artist who makes life-size garments and accessories from paper and thread. Her work is currently on display at Chertsey Museum in The Regency Wardrobe exhibition. She first learnt paper quilling when she was 13. Returning to it as an adult she has adapted the technique to stunning effect, applying it both as a means of surface decoration and decorative structure.
