Explore the 40-year career of contemporary artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien, one of the leading artists working in film and video today.

Isaac Julien is best known for his lyrical films and video-based art installations. His work often criss-crosses the boundaries of discipline, drawing from everything from film, photography and music to theatre painting and sculpture. Themes of desire, history and culture are particularly prevalent in his work.

The exhibition chronicles work from the early 1980s to the present day. Early film works are combined with large-scale, multi-screen installations exploring the movement of people across continents, time and space.
