Sculptures that celebrate the creativity in dysfunction and imperfection.
Made from materials such as marble, wood, metal and resin, the sculptures of artist Nairy Baghramian use a wide range of techniques and explore the connection between art and other creative industries, such as interior design, dance and theatre.
Baghramian’s latest exhibition, Jumbled Alphabet, presents her Misfits series, a collection of works of art based on children’s toys that celebrate the beauty of things which don’t fit, finding creativity in the dysfunctional as a metaphor for outsiders and seeing the potential in imperfection.
