A laboratory of experimental contemporary art, Beaconsfield Gallery in Vauxhall invites visitors to challenge their understanding of what art can be.
Since 1994, Beaconsfield Gallery has been an artist-run space for the development and presentation of contemporary art, based in Vauxhall.
Experimental contemporary art
Beaconsfield Gallery is a laboratory dedicated to the exploration and evolution of experimental art. Experimental research activity is rooted in a long history of collaboration with individual artists and a range of national and international art institutions.
Public programme of talks and events
A public-facing programme of artists’ residencies and exhibitions, talks and interdisciplinary events is curated by founding co-directors David Crawforth and Naomi Siderfin, who work closely with participating artists. Beaconsfield is uncompromising space in which open-minded artists and audiences come to challenge themselves and their understanding of what art can be. The gallery remains supportive space for taking risks and exploring new ideas and a liberating environment where people from all backgrounds can come together to ask themselves “What if?”.
