Head to the Golden Thread Gallery in Belfast for an inclusive, contextual take on contemporary visual art.
Founded in 1998, the Golden Thread Gallery is based to the north of the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast. This contemporary art gallery is dedicated to offering an insightful context for the visual art of our time through its exhibitions, as well as developing, supporting and promoting the work of contemporary Northern Irish artists.
Recognised for its work engaging with recent history and helping to re-imagine the future, the Golden Thread Gallery hosts regular artists talks and interviews, as well as discussions between its curators. The learning programme here includes workshops focussed on skills such as paper marbling, creating an artist's notebook and drawing.
There are also weekly free art workshops for families, with materials and light refreshments supplied by the gallery.
