Visit the Henry Moore Studios and Gardens in Hertfordshire and discover the creative haven where the renowned sculptor lived and worked for four decades.

Delve into the world of one of the 20th century's most celebrated sculptors at his former home and workplace. Today the site houses a sculpture park and art gallery, showcasing not only his iconic works but also offering a glimpse into the artistic process.

Sculptures

Moore found inspiration in nature and he used the land around his home as a practical working space. Each year, around twenty of Moore’s sculptures are displayed in the gardens allowing visitors to experience them in a natural setting much like the one in which they were created.

Studios

Witness the sculptor's environment firsthand through Moore’s network of studios, each one used for different activities, from creating small maquettes through to monumental outdoor sculptures. Also, don’t miss the Aisled Barn, the only place in the world to see Moore’s unique tapestries.

House and archive

Since 2007 the Moore's family home, Hoglands, has been open to the public via guided tours, offering a personal perspective on the artist’s life. You can also investigate further through the Henry Moore Archive which includes over three-quarters of a million items collected throughout the artist’s life and up to the present day, from publications to film and audio, press coverage to letters and invites to exhibitions.
