The Wilson is a premier art gallery and museum in Gloucestershire. It offers a diverse range of exhibits, from fine art and archaeology to local history. It is also home to the Sir Charles Irving Community Art Gallery, Summerfield Exhibition Gallery, and brand new World of Wonders children’s gallery.

Discover the museum's extensive collection of artefacts relating to Cheltenham's history. These include archaeological finds relating to the prehistoric and Roman occupation of the North Cotswolds, and decorative art pieces including an important collection of Chinese ceramics.
Arts and Crafts Movement
The museum is renowned for its exceptional collection of Arts and Crafts Movement objects, featuring works by designers such as William Morris, C.F.A. Voysey, M.H. Baillie Scott and many others. The Cotswolds was an important centre for the Movement, the museum highlights this with work by local designers such as C R Ashbee and Ernest Gimson.
The Wilson Kitchen
Visit the vibrant arts café on the ground floor adorned with visual art and photographs inspired by the museum. Families are welcome in the café, borrow an art caddie filled with drawing and colouring materials to keep little hands busy, or have fun in the dedicated children’s area.
