Founded to celebrate Mid Devon’s history in a post-war world, Tiverton Museum traces the lives of people in Mid Devon over the centuries.

The museum houses an eclectic collection of objects and artefacts exploring everything pertaining to life in Mid Devon, from transport, local industry and agriculture to domestic life. Highlights include local bicycles, costume, lace making materials, farm waggons and the 'Tivvy Bumper' GWR steam engine.

There is a lively programme of exhibitions and events year-round and the museum also caters for families and young children with a range of trails and quizzes to accompany your visit. Exhibits explore the social and economic history of the region, celebrating Mid Devon's achievements.
