This is one a group of ten paintings which come from the collection of the late Mrs. Charlotte Frank who, together with her husband Robert Frank, did much to encourage the revival of interest in John Martin in the 1970s. The watercolour by John Martin's son Charles is an interesting document as well as an attractive picture.
