From Mellard’s the ironmongers and the treasures of the pawnbroker’s shop, to the fascinating cures of the chemist’s and the gruesome collection of doctor’s surgical instruments, visitors can experience the sights and sounds of a bygone era. Another must-see is the extensive toy collection, filled with teddies, dolls and games, some over 150 years old.
