Why should the 14th February get all the fun? Join us on the 13th February as we welcome our friends from the Vagina Museum for this informative and exciting talk, A Brief History of Vulvas In Art!

While there is the misconception that vulvas have been obscured and oppressed until feminism came along in the 20th century and liberated them – nothing could be further from the truth. Vulvas have been portrayed in art in celebration and in disdain, subtly and in-your-face, and on all kinds of people. The talk explores art from all over the world and covers topics from sex to childbirth to religion to health.

The Vagina Museum focuses on gynaecological anatomy and its place in science, culture, society and history and is dedicated to the advancement of education and the promotion of equality. To learn even more about the Vagina Museum and their mission please visit their website here.
