Spend a day capturing the landscape around the Chatsworth Garden using the vibrant medium of oil painting.
Come and discover the joy and excitement of oil painting Plein Air at Chatsworth with acclaimed artist Sue Nichol. The term 'en plein air’ is a French expression that simply means 'outside'. Painting outdoors is absorbing and comes with a whole host of health benefits. Topics covered include selecting a basic kit for sketching and painting outdoors, choosing the location, composition, preliminary sketching, focal points, colour palette, blocking in and tonal values.
