Chapter is a multi-discipline arts centre in Cardiff that produces, presents and promotes international art, live performance and film in a vibrant social space.

For almost 50 years Chapter has been the heartbeat of creativity in Cardiff. As one of the first arts centres in the UK, it has brought together different artforms under one roof, centred around an open, accessible space.

It has introduced Cardiff audiences to significant contemporary artists such as Rosie Wylie, Larissa Sansour, Helen Johnson, Monika Sosnowska and James Richards, and continues to support independent creatives on a local, national and international level.

With a year-round programme of exhibitions, films, activities, events and a lively café bar serving up delicious food and drink, there is something for visitors of all ages and more than 800,000 visitors are welcomed through its doors each year.

In January 2019, the gallery successfully raised £17,000 through our crowdfunding platform, Art Happens, to fund the conservation of an iconic sculpture by Garth Evans and relocate it to Wales. Find out more here.
