Daisy Fairy

Peter Blake, 1981-1982

© DACS, London 2007

Blake lived and worked near Bath from 1969-1979.

During this time, the artist moved towards narrative and literary subjects including illustrations for Alice in Wonderland and a major series of fairy paintings.

This work beautifully represents Blake's ruralist period and is the first Blake to enter the collection.
