An online talk looking at the folklore from the Isle of Axholme.

Robert Fish is a retired headteacher with a Cert Ed from Durham University. He has also served as a school advisor, school inspector and as a member of the international primary curriculum has worked in schools in Kenya and India. Since retiring he has spent much of his time studying the history of The Isle of Axholme and writing articles and books. He has published five books on World War I and six on local history. He has given numerous talks on the Isle's history and led 'walks through time’ and on ghosts of Axholme.

Opening times

Mon – Sat , 10am –​ 4pm
Sun, 1pm –​ 4pm

All the usual Covid 19 precautions are in place.

There will be social distancing, hand sanitiser and all staff and customers must wear face coverings. We will require visitors to check in the venue with the NHS test and trace app, or staff can sign you in.

Customers may be asked to wait if a queue forms, to allow good social distancing.

We have extra doors and windows open for ventilation.

There is a one way system in place, but to allow access for visitors who may need to use the lift for mobility issues, or those with very young children in prams, you may have to give way to those customers who will being going against the one way system.
