Illuminate creativity in the Highlands
Exclusive Preview of Phase 2
23 Nov 2021
Dear #IlluminateHighlands Donor,
Firstly, we wanted to say a huge thank you for your patience whilst we work closely with Art Fund and the artists and suppliers to create your unique rewards. Many suppliers are still working at a reduced capacity due to the multitude of challenges that the past year has brought us and we're grateful for your continued support while we work hard to ensure you're delighted with your rewards when they reach you.
As you know, capital works at Inverness Creative Academy have also been affected by these issues and the project has suffered its own delays. Wasps is delighted, however, to be able to share some exclusive photos of the recently reinstated assembly hall, with dramatic and beautiful feature lights supported by #Illuminate Highlands in situ, and all of the internal scaffolding removed. We hope these photos might help to brighten these short winter days, and that you’ll agree with us the wait will be worth it! We’re delighted to share these images with our supporters but would ask that, for now, you refrain from sharing them publicly.
While we’re not quite ready to welcome visitors to Phase 2, all of our artist tenants in Phase 1 are still busy working away. We are currently planning our first ‘in person’ Artist and Makers Market at Inverness Creative Academy since 2019, featuring over 20 stalls with home-grown arts, craft and design from Inverness and beyond. If you are in the area please join us for the 2021 Wasps Winter Market on Sat 27 and Sunday 28 November, 10am to 5pm.
Whilst you wait for your reward please do check other Art Fund updates to see what your donation has made possible and look out for emails from Art Fund in the coming weeks for more information on when you can expect your reward to arrive.
In the meantime, we hope to see some of you at the Wasps Winter Market, and look forward to inviting you to see, in real life, what your donation made possible, in the New Year.
With best wishes from Wasps and The Art Fund Team
