Join us for an evening of stories and song by the fire.
Lizzie McDougall, Storyteller, will share some local tales as well as some from further afield, taking us on a journey filled with myth and magic and more than a kernel of truth. Our hope is to be outdoors (if the weather and midges allow) so please dress appropriately and bring a folding chair or picnic blanket with you. A small refreshment is included in the price.
Lizzie McDougall has been travelling around the Highlands and Islands gathering, telling and sharing Highland stories at storytelling sessions and ceilidhs, for over twenty years. Her love for storytelling stems back to her childhood when, because of her dyslexia, books were a challenge but encountering many storytellers her passion for the oral tradition grew and grew. She still loves and appreciates books, but spoken stories are another world.
We kindly acknowledge the support of the Scottish Book Trust Live Literature fund in helping to make this event possible.
