During this special event, enjoy the opportunity to see Loelia Ponsonby's extraordinary needlework and diaries up close.
Step inside Stansted House and enjoy the opportunity to view Loelia Ponsonby’s extraordinary needlework and diaries up close.
The daughter of Frederick Ponsonby, Assistant Private Secretary to Queen Victoria, and Victoria Kennard, a well-known cookbook author, Loelia Ponsonby became one of the bright young things of the 1920s. After a disastrous marriage to the Duke of Westminster, Loelia would occupy herself with needlework and her stunning collection is now on display at Stansted House. Loelia was also a prolific diarist and these private entries offer a glimpse into her fascinating life, including her opinions on the wedding of Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier of Monaco.
Tickets for this event will be available to book from Sunday 4 August 2024.
