Join Anita in Dyers Barn for this special talk to find out more about some of nature's most beautiful creatures: birds of prey.
Anita Ebdon is the owner of Hampshire Hawk Walks based here at Chawton House and will be talking about her life as a falconer. She will be accompanied by some of her team of birds of prey, including, Wilfred the Barn Owl, Doogal the Kestrel, London the Harris Hawk and Texas the Red Tailed Buzzard.
Anita will be talking all about the birds she has with her, giving you an insight into how they are different from one another, how they hunt and what life is like for their wild counterparts. She will share what its like to work with these majestic creatures on a day to day basis, and what is involved in their daily care along with the story of how she became a falconer
There will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions that you have and also there will be a meet the birds and hold one for a picture at the end of the talk for those that wish to for a small additional charge.
Tickets: £6. Kids welcome. Please note this does not include entry to the House & Gardens.
