Come along to meet Eliza Jane Chester and hear more about her life.
To accompany our exhibition ‘Hidden Histories of Keats House’, which looks at the lives of those people who lived in the house, we are delighted to have a performance featuring the character of Eliza Jane Chester.
Eliza Chester was a famous actress and it was because of her that the two original semi-detached houses became one. The layout is still the same today. She removed a staircase, repositioned doors, built a new room for entertaining – the Chester Room – and added stables. Come along to meet her and hear more about her life.
The performance will last approximately 15 minutes.
