Meet Dr Emma Bernard from the Natural History Museum and learn all about the Jurassic
Join Dr Emma Bernard, the curator of fossil fish at the Natural History Museum to find out about fossils! Discover the Jurassic, what swam in the seas that covered Peterborough and what it takes to be a palaeontologist in two talks by two talks by Dr Bernard.
There will be two talks by Dr Bernard:
11am Jurassic Talk (families )The first talk is for families, to discover what Peterborough was like in the Jurassic. Find out what swam around the Jurassic seas and the fossils that we find.
12.15pm Palaeontology Careers Talk (Age 16+):The second talk is perfect for any budding palaeontologists, as Dr Bernard will tell us about career, how she became a palaeontologist, and what it is like being a woman in STEM. This is for 16+
There will be fossil handling activities happening on the day too.
