About the Team
Bermondsey Gut G(K)imchi are passionate about creating unpasteurised, naturally fermented, sugar-free kimchi using minimal salt. Based in Bermondsey, London, our aim is to share the joy of healthy, delicious fermentation.
We prefer to call it gimchi because that's closer to the original Korean pronunciation. Why did it change to "kimchi"? We're not sure — maybe a translation hiccup, just like the names Kim and Cho should actually be Gim and Jo...
Most importantly, we believe fermentation can be fun, educational, and super tasty — perfect for kids and grown-ups alike. We can’t wait to share our passion with you!
