Join us to learn about the Vikings at North Lincolnshire Museum!
Home Education Workshop.
In this fast-paced workshop, children will meet the Viking Helga who will share a range of replica Anglo-Saxon and Viking weaponry and encourage children to consider which would have been the more effective in battle.
Children will also have the opportunity to explore incredible Anglo-Saxon and Viking artefacts in our gallery spaces and handle replica artefacts in our trading challenge.
Our map investigation activity will consolidate the children’s understanding of the lasting impact of the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons in the local area.
This workshop lasts approximately 1h 45mins and is ideally aimed at children aged between 7 and 11 years old.
Please meet our Learning Assistant at reception area of the Museum at 10am to complete registration.
To accommodate as many children as possible, we prefer not to exceed a ratio of one adult for each family group.
The price of £6.30 per child plus one accompanying adult. Each child taking part will need a ticket.
If you are booking for a group, we require at least one adult for every six children.
Please let us know about any additional needs within your family group. You can contact the team on 01724 296039 to chat to us.
The team would be happy to recommend alternative things to do around the Museum that might be more relevant for older or younger children.
Babies under 2 years of age are free, but please do let the team know in advance if you are bringing additional children.
