From Beer Street...: Talk & Tasting

23 May 2025

£38

Learn about the history of beer with alcoholic drinks expert and author, Jane Peyton.

If you’ve ever wondered what type of beer Britons were drinking in the 18th century when the Foundling Hospital was established, then wonder no more. Join us at the Foundling Museum for a fascinating and delicious masterclass in beer tasting hosted by Jane Peyton, beer sommelier and alcoholic drinks historian. After a welcome glass, Jane will lead you through a tutored tasting of three diverse types of beer that each have their own extraordinary flavours and impactful history.

This event is 18+ only. It will last for approximately 1.5 hours.
