Discover the life of an influential British woman artist.
Dulwich Picture Gallery presents the first major exhibition devoted to the artist and designer Tirzah Garwood since 1952. Closely associated with the Great Bardfield Artists, a community of mid-20th century British artists, Garwood made works of art that subtly transformed innocent subjects to unsettling effect.
With more than 80 works on show, including books, studies and ephemera, the exhibition aims to examine the public reception of her work and will be accompanied by around 12 artworks by her husband Eric Ravilious, setting the context in which the artists worked together.
