A selection of iconic paintings reveal an artistic dialogue between Britain and France.
This exhibition presents a selection of iconic works from Kenwood House, featuring six paintings by Thomas Gainsborough, including two of his most celebrated masterpieces: Mary, Countess Howe and Lady Brisco.
The exhibition also showcases works of art by British and French artists: Joshua Reynolds, George Romney, Angelica Kauffman, Jean-Baptiste Pater and François Boucher.
Masterpieces from Kenwood aims to deepen appreciation for historic British art and position Gainsborough within the broader context of his contemporaries in both Britain and France.
